Goal #1: Preparing to be someone’s wife…

A new phase in life – Marriage.

How time flies as I mesmerized each phase of life, i.e. a child preparing for my first day in a place ‘other-than-home’ and meeting peers for the very first time. This is quickly followed by 6 years being in a more discipline environment call 'School'. Then came the 'Teens' – period cramps, girl-guy problem, popularity in school and of course government examinations. Then it was 'College' – getting my driver’s license, achieving good grades for university entrance and more girl-guy problemSS… :) After feeding on books for the purpose of passing of general examinations, the major decision of one’s 'Career' surfaced, i.e. choosing from a multitude of courses available. After deciding, it was back to the books again. Then it was 'Graduation'…followed by securing a Job…

Then came the right man, love blossoming with two souls walking at the same pace, along the path heading to marriage. The proposal came and now am preparing for one of the major events in life, the wedding. I still can’t believe that I am soon to be a Wife…

From a Child,
To being a Student and finally a Graduand,
An employee and now another title in life, a Wife…

What are the prerequisites to the title 'Wife'? Will do all that is required. :)

Prayer...Love...Faith...

Abba Father, I love You.
My Creator, I give thanks to You.
Heavenly King, all honour, praise and power belongs to You.
My Saviour, I need You.

As I close my eyes, envisioning Your loving arms embracing me,
my heart yearns to be close to You every moment of my life,
Thank You, Lord, for calling me Your child, even though I'm unworthy.
Continue to pour out Your Spirit and renew my heart.
Forgive me, Lord. Continue to teach me, Father.
In Your most precious name, Amen.

It is difficult but not impossible to spend some time in prayer:
* The fundamental problem lies not in the time factor, but in the realm of WILL & DESIRE.
* Prayer is to be considered as FUNDAMENTAL and not supplemental.

Love is in the air... (Feeling romantic)

Was listening to my mp3 and this song warmed my heart:

My gift is my song and this one's for you
And you can tell everybody that this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
Hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is now you're in the world

So excuse me forgetting but these things I do
You see, I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue
Anyway the thing is what I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen

And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is now you're in the world

Falling in Love

Got an sms last night, asking, 'How do you know when you fall in love?' My reply was:

'When you can't wait to see her/him, or when you are on the phone and you don't want to say your goodbyes, and when her/his image comes to mind, it leaves a smile on your face...'

I recalled those times and a heartwarming sensation came all over me. :) The following memories came to mind;

Memory 1
'Ok. Goodnight. We'll have to get up early the next day for college. Bye.' I said.
'Ok. Goodnight..' Pause.. Both are still holding on to the phone.
'Bye. Why're you not putting down the phone?' I asked, smiling to myself.
'Why didn't you put down?' he said.
'We'll count to 3...1, 2, 3..' I replied cheekily. Both of us still refusing to hang up.
'Ok. Goodnight. Sweet dreams and don't let the bed bugs bite.' he said, and my heart melted.
'Ok. Goodnight.' We finally hang up.
This sweet memory is treasured, after so many years. I wonder if he still remembers? We never went on a steady relationship but remained in a platonic relationship.

Memory 2
The song 'First Love' by Utada Hikaru reminded me of his face. He was the first to introduce me to such a melodious sweet song. Even though, I may not understand the lyrics but I sense the deep love feeling. :) This song suddenly reminds me of the time we spent together, he made my favourite, ice cream, he cooked and invited me over to his place for a great asian dinner. We talked on the phone for hours, never loss with words. We became great companions, probably the beginning of a relationship but one which never blossomed.

These would remain as memories. Even though a love relationship was not weaved, nevertheless they managed to leave a sweet 'love story' in my heart. :)

Dare to Dream or Be Contented?

Waking up at the sound of the alarm-clock, way before the rising of the sun. Preparing for yet another weekday. Driving along the exact same route you took the day before and parking at the exact same spot. By reflex, walk towards your working area (in my case, a 1.5mX1.5m cubicle) and start the day with your closest companion, your computer. Doesn't this sound familiar?

The question to be posted is 'How many of us really enjoy our job?'. Is a job merely a task to be done for the sake of a wage? Or it is possible for us to 'earn' the priceless sense of satisfaction or accomplishment and to be filled with contentment at our work.

Am I truly in a wrong fit at work, or it's just me, complicating a simple fact of life? By definition, a job is the principal activity in your life that you do to earn money. But there are those who take pleasure in their profession, i.e. those who take pride in their artwork, who sings from their heart and touch souls with their God-gifted voice, whose imaginative mind is penned down on paper, etc. What is your dream, the desire which needs to be realized?

To ponder on the devotion below (taken from 'Life on Purpose for Women' by JM Farro):
Take some time today to reflect on your DREAMS, and write down your top 3 GOALS. Keep them in a place where you can refer to them often. Pray about them and begin to take steps toward them as the Lord leads you.
