Dare to Dream or Be Contented?

Waking up at the sound of the alarm-clock, way before the rising of the sun. Preparing for yet another weekday. Driving along the exact same route you took the day before and parking at the exact same spot. By reflex, walk towards your working area (in my case, a 1.5mX1.5m cubicle) and start the day with your closest companion, your computer. Doesn't this sound familiar?

The question to be posted is 'How many of us really enjoy our job?'. Is a job merely a task to be done for the sake of a wage? Or it is possible for us to 'earn' the priceless sense of satisfaction or accomplishment and to be filled with contentment at our work.

Am I truly in a wrong fit at work, or it's just me, complicating a simple fact of life? By definition, a job is the principal activity in your life that you do to earn money. But there are those who take pleasure in their profession, i.e. those who take pride in their artwork, who sings from their heart and touch souls with their God-gifted voice, whose imaginative mind is penned down on paper, etc. What is your dream, the desire which needs to be realized?

To ponder on the devotion below (taken from 'Life on Purpose for Women' by JM Farro):
Take some time today to reflect on your DREAMS, and write down your top 3 GOALS. Keep them in a place where you can refer to them often. Pray about them and begin to take steps toward them as the Lord leads you.
