Inspired.. Will I act on it?

Looking at my underutilised kitchen equipped with the 'state of the art' oven, I do feel it's sayang-ness and a tinge of guilt brushes me each time I reflect on my role as a wife. Each morning, as I pay my kitchen a visit, it is usually to make a cup of hot tea and to grab a few pieces of cookies. In the evenings, it's to snack on prepacked goodies or utmost to slice a fruit. Recently noticed the following images and am so inspired.... Wanting so much to remove the plastic covers to my oven and seemingly the Christmas seasons' around the corner, I dreamt of a nice warm family dinner (without the fireplace)....


Am I being too ambitious? My first attempt was the lamb chops and the whole cooking process and time was like eternity (mind you the Internet graded it as 'Easy') - the marinating, seasoning, stir frying and then finally the washing of the piled up dishes in the sink; mopping of the floors and wiping of all sides of the walls. It was a nightmare! I refused to eat before putting away the stains and grimes. The poor husband only got a bite way past 9pm and did I mention, it was Valentine's. :)
